The inconsistency, if not hypocrisy, of liberals, is rearing its ugly head again in the issue of the tragic church shooting in Texas on Sunday. While they were quick to insist that NYC terror attack by an Islamic terrorist last week be not politicized, they were quick to politicize the Texas shooting and make a case again for gun control.
The misinformed liberals had a field day on social media denouncing gun laws in Texas, and exploiting the tragedy to insist on more gun control anew. One of the more vocal and enthusiastic liberal campaigners on blaming Sunday’s horrific mass shooting on the supposed lack of gun control measures in Texas is actress Alyssa Milano.
Milano exposed her ignorance with the issue when she not only believed outright the misinformation shared by another liberal campaigner on gun control but added to the confusion by spreading the lie herself.
Milano tweeted: “There are no background checks on long guns ( AR15s) in Texas. Thanks for the info @shannonrwatts.

Shannon Watts is the founder of the Michael Bloomberg-funded gun control group Moms Demand Action.
Watts tweeted before Milano picked it up: “That means he’s prohibited purchaser, but there’s absolutely no regulation of long guns (AR15s) in Texas. No background check required.”
The liberals conveniently forget or conceal the fact that the suspect, Devin Kelley, 26, had been dishonorably dismissed from the Air Force and as such, is not legally allowed to buy a firearm.
Watts, Milano and their kind were also quite dismissive of the fact that lawfully armed citizens put an end to the massacre, and in the process saved more lives.
Good thing, more knowledgeable and informed social media users were also as quick and persistent in setting the record straight and giving the truth to Milano and her kind.
One user flat out described what Milano shared as a “bald-faced lie.” He tweeted: “I have actually purchased an AR-style rifle here in the State of Texas. And this is a bald face lie.” The user then puts a link to Milano’s tweet.

Another also responded to Milano: “Unlike you, I’ve actually purchased an AR15 in Texas. And a background check was conducted.”

Yet one had a bitingly sarcastic comment for Milano: “By all means, let’s have pop stars and actors weigh in on government policy. You’re sure to get 100% info like this!”

The social media users schooled Milano on gun ownership procedures in Texas. Hopefully, the actress learns her lesson of doing more research and verification before making a fool of herself with spreading lies and misinformation on social media.
