Female Japanese police turned in their riot gear and bulky uniforms in favor of a sleek and stylish suit for their stint guarding presidential adviser Ivanka Trump during her visit to Tokyo.

An officer in charge of the creating the special unit said, "We opted for a more cultivated look to suit the occasion."

The special squad also brushed up on special tactics such as protecting her from a 'fan' quickly approaching with a gift in a drill scenario. The overzealous fan jumps out of a crowd to hand the gift to the female "VIP" filling in for Ivanka but the ladies are quick to block the fan and escort her back to the crowd. The training was conducted publicly as a display for the media on November 1.

Presidential advisor Ivanka Trump is scheduled to be in Tokyo for the World Assembly for Women, an international conference designed to empower woman tackle female related issues. A couple days later, the U.S. President Donald Trump, Ivanka's father, and his wife Melania will be arriving for a three-day visit as well.
