Two Playboy Playmates and a third woman have filed a lawsuit claiming some $27 million from the portfolio manager of an investment fund setup by financier George Soros.
Mr Howie Rubin, 62 years old, was already a star when his investing antics were described in the best-sellers “Liar’s Poker” and “The Big Short.”
What the author of those books, Mr Michael Lewis, probably didn’t know, was that Mr Rubin also liked to tie up and rape women in a sex dungeon.
According to the lawsuit filed against him in a New York court, Mr Rubin rented the penthouse of the Metropolitan Tower pad in Midtown in order to have brutal sex sessions with women which he paid between $2,000 and $5,000 per day.
The married father raped and beat them to the point that they needed extensive medical care (reminiscent of scenes in ‘American Psycho’, also about a Wall Street wizard who brings prostitutes home and then tortures them).
The $8 million penthouse carried a darkened side room which has ropes, chains, and sex toys along with other BDSM equipment which Rubin liked to use on them.
“I’m going to rape you like I rape my daughter,” Rubin is stated to have said to one of the girls.
According to the lawyer of the women, Mr Rubin beat one of the women’s “breasts so badly that her right implant flipped”. He paid her $20,000 to repair the damage afterwards.
Furthermore, there were other people present during these sessions, namely two female fixers and a lawyer, who had the girls sign non-disclosure agreements before every session. These people were used to “cover up Rubin’s sexual misconduct and criminal abuse of women and to serve as a cover for his wide-ranging human trafficking scheme.”
Mr Jeremy Saland, a lawyer representing one of the victims, stated that: “While arrogance and self-import may convince certain men otherwise, neither money nor power gives any person the right to victimize a woman”.
