Inch And A Half Long Sewing Needles Stuffed in Halloween Candy

Children in Central New York got a trick instead of a treat on Halloween, when they discovered sewing needs tucked inside the packaging of candy they got while trick or treating. The police said the needles were an inch and a half long and found in the Village of Vernon.

Two people have formally filed complaints with the Village of Vernon Police Depart over the disturbing discovery. The children brought the candy the needles were found in to the police, some were in a package of Twizzlers Twists and others were inside their Halloween candy bags. The needs were discovered before anyone tried to eat the candy and none of the children were hurt.

The complaints came from two different people and police are telling anyone who may have trick-or-treated in the village near Peterboro Street, Black Avenue West and East, Judson Drive and Curtis Road, to inspect the children's candy. Vernon police are requesting anyone who found anything suspicious in their Halloween bags or with knowledge of the incidents to report it.
