Who would have thought a sane human would be convicted of 20 crimes? Well, that’s the case with a man from Florida who was found guilty of 20 sex crimes in relation to interactions he had with a 12-year-old girl.
The Ocala man, identified as John Henry Rapp, 46, was accused of sexually battering the child and performing sexual acts in her presence by a jury on Tuesday. The man had 12 items of child pornography on a thumb drive, which included graphic photographs of the girl.
The Kimberly’s Center for Child Protection interviewed the girl for Child Protection and said Rapp told her he would buy her a candy bar if she would pose naked for him. The girl revealed that she went to a warehouse on South Pine Avenue, where Rapp took photographs of her while she was naked, according to a police report.
It’s very disturbing to hear the innocent girl describing the ugly ordeal she went through twice when Rapp showed her porn while he molested her. She said there were multiple instances of sexual abuse by Rapp between Christmas 2015 and early August 2016.
Rapp was confronted by police but he denied the allegations. He was arrested in August 2016 at his home in northeast Ocala. After which he was charged with three counts of sexual battery of a child, 12 counts of possession of child pornography, three counts of lewd and lascivious molestation, one count of lewd and lascivious conduct and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition. He entered a written plea of not guilty to the charges on Aug. 16, 2016. The sentencing date is yet to be announced, however, Rapp was convicted after a two-day trial, as revealed by court orders.
