Manhunt: Hatchet-Wielding Superhero Robs Olympia, WA Gas Station

Who would think that a superhero would unleash terror by robbing off innocent people? Well, that was the case in Olympia.

Deputies from Thurston County Sheriff are searching for a man they say robbed a gas station near Olympia on Thursday morning. The robber was wearing a superhero mask and he was armed with a hatchet.

Sgt. Carla Carter reported that the wannabe super-hero got away with an undisclosed amount of cash, in the incident which was reported shortly before 4 a.m. at 2601 Yelm Highway SE.

Carter revealed that the suspect walked in carrying a hatchet and took a safe from behind the counter. Fortunately, the robber unleashed the robbery with a slight degree of super heroism that made sure that the gas station employee working at the time was not injured.

It has been revealed that the suspect was a white man in his 20s who was wearing gray pants, a gray shirt and carrying a black backpack.

The area was carefully searched by deputies with the aid of a police dog and they managed to find the safe, the backpack and the mask. However, the suspect is still missing, and they are still trying to identify him.

Incidents of robbers unleashing their attacks while dressed in various costumes are not much of a surprise, sometime last month, a man attempted a robbery in Thonotosassa while wearing a Halloween mask. The robber was also suspected in another attempted carjacking and shooting earlier that evening.
