In a completely shocking turn of events a 96-year-old Catholic Priest has been indicted for Child Pornography.
Who would have ever thought that a Catholic could be guilty of having images of adults molesting children?
That's one of the most preposterous suggestions that I've ever heard in my life, that a Catholic Priest would be sexually attracted to prepubescent kids.
However according to the indictments laid out against him, a former high ranking official in the New York Catholic Archdiocese who served from 1968 to 1970 had pictures, which were on his computer that were of girls between the ages of 8 to 14 years old who were engaged in sex acts with adult men.
Monsignor Harry J. Byrne, who lives at the St. John Vianney Center for Retired Priests in the Bronx, not only possessed the child pornography but would share them with other Priests, according to Bronx District Attorney, Darcel D. Clark.
“Anyone who views child pornography supports horrific child exploitation,” Clark said.
“Monsignor Byrne has dedicated 72 years to charity in the church with an unsullied history,” said his lawyer, Marvin Ray Raskin. “It is difficult to imagine that at the age of 96, he knowingly understood and is responsible for the content of a particular subject on a computer accessible to numerous people.”
The insanity of these claims!
Byrne now faces over 37 individual counts of possession of obscene sexual performance by a child and another 37 counts of possessing sexual performance by a child.
Another Priest also shared the same residence with Byrne, according to Prosecutors, of which Byrne would show off his “collection”.
“People at the defendant’s residence were subjected to it when they entered his room,” said Bronx DA Darcel Clark.
I'm shocked! You mean Priests were sharing Child Porn amongst each other? That's just impossible!
I mean, it's not like the Vatican <a href="http://thegoldwater.com/news/9478-Why-Are-Convicted-Pedophile-Priests-Still-Receiving-Life-Long-Benefits-from-the-Vatican">continues to pay pedophile Priests</a>even after they've been convicted of crimes against children.
Of course not, a group of traditional Catholics never called for <a href="http://thegoldwater.com/news/9478-Why-Are-Convicted-Pedophile-Priests-Still-Receiving-Life-Long-Benefits-from-the-Vatican">Pope Francis of spreading heresy </a>from the Holy Sea.
There's also no chance in hell that the <a href="https://thegoldwater.com/news/8183-Pope-Protects-Pedophile-Priest-with-Diplomatic-Immunity-Recall-to-Prevent-State-Department-Charges">United States State Department accused a Priest of having Child Porn </a>and the Vatican recalled him using Diplomatic Immunity to protect him.
It's not like in Australia as we speak <a href="http://thegoldwater.com/news/4462-Australian-Police-Charge-a-High-Ranking-Vatican-Official-With-Sex-Offenses">Cardinal George Pell is facing charges </a>for sexual abuse against innocent kids.
It's also impossible that a <a href="https://thegoldwater.com/news/4617-German-Cardinal-Guilty-of-Sex-Abuse-Removed-by-the-Pope">German Cardinal was found guilty </a>of sexual abuse earlier this year.
And there's just no way that the Vatican Police raided a Cardinal’s apartment where a <a href="http://thegoldwater.com/news/4717-Police-Raid-Drug-Fueled-Gay-Orgy-At-Cardinal-s-Apartment">drug fueled gay sex orgy</a>was occurring either.
No! None of those things ever happened!
This… This is clearly some sort of… Witch hunt…
