Four family members in Spotsylvania, Virginia have been arrested after an infant baby was born premature and addicted to narcotics. Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office has arrested 23-year-old Georgia McClung, 55-year-old Brenda McClung, 26-year-old Brendt McClung and 35-year-old Michael McClung in connection to the infant.
The Department of Social Services received a tip that Georgia McClung had given birth to an infant an over a month before her due date in her home and that the baby was born addicted to narcotics. An investigation followed and it was confirmed the infant was born prematurely in their home off of Adamson Lane and addicted to drugs. The baby's mother, Georgia McClung, was already wanted for a probation violation and was eluding capture with the help of the mother. Deputies pulled over the baby's grandmother Brenda during the search for its mother and found both of her adult sons with "Schedule 1" narcotics. All three were booked into Rappahannock Regional Jail on charges ranging from child neglect and reckless disregard for life and possession of Schedule 1 narcotics.
The mother and the infant were eventually found staying at another family home and the baby was taken to the hospital right away. The baby's mother, Georgia, was also charged with child neglect and reckless disregard for life as well as a probation violation.
