Police officers were called by one of the neighbors to check the home of the 300 block of East Fuller Drive, where they found three children living in what can only be called "deplorable" conditions at a home in Euless.
The children were showing clear signs of abuse were all taken to a hospital for evaluation. Court records of the arrested adults at the house (seven in total) showed that the youngsters were beaten whilst one of them had been duct-taped to the bed.
The children were an 8-year-old boy and 6-year-old girl who are siblings, as well as a 4-year-old boy who is their cousin.
The children have now been placed in a foster care and a judge will soon decide on what will happen to them next. The foster family did not return calls for comment but confirmed that the children are doing well.
Luckily the two youngest ones will be able to process this, whilst child services have already confirmed that the 8-year-old will be followed up by a social services worker for further evaluation. It is unlikely that the children, given the condition that they were in, would be returned to their parents.
Those parents meanwhile, Mr. Petric Olsen and Ms. Lisa Olsen were charged with injury to their children and neglect.
In total, police arrested seven adults at the home, all on charges of abandoning or endangering a child. Mr Alexis J. Ashley, 22 years old; Mr Billy Hawkins, 30 years old; Mr Jacob Neil Olsen, 17 years old; Mr Joshua Olsen, 25 years old; Ms Lisa Anne Olsen, 51 years old; Mr Michael Phillip Olsen II, 24 years old and Ms Katherine Louise Petric, 67 years old. It is understood that none of the adults tried to help the children during these situations which the neighbors had reported on.
