Suspects in Police Pursuit Toss Their Drugs Only to Have Them Stick to Car Roof

It’s nearly impossible for you to deny that something belongs to you when you're caught throwing it out of your car window and it sticks to your car’s roof. That was the case when Evansville police engaged in a car chase on Tuesday night.

A report made by EPD police officer John McQuay to 14 News revealed that the incident started with a reported road rage incident in which an officer tried to pull the aggressive driver over, however, the driver wouldn’t stop instead, he sped up.

The authorities reported that as the car was speeding up, the people onboard started throwing packets out of the windows, unfortunately, the packets landed on the roof of the car. The police conducted field tests on the packets and they found out that the packets contained crystal meth and marijuana.

The police chase took place for four minutes as the police were in hot pursuit. The pursuit ended near Cumberland and Broadway. The vehicle had three men all whom have been taken into custody.

The police revealed that they found some more crystal meth inside the vehicle, as well as marijuana and paraphernalia. The men who were found inside the car have been identified as Donavon Cabell, Dakota James, and Kenneth Kirby. The police managed to book the men into the Vanderburgh County Jail on drug possession charges. The driver, who has been identified as James is also facing counts of resisting arrest and reckless driving.
