It has been revealed that the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton's lawyer were behind funding that led to the now famous dossier on alleged ties between the Donald Trump campaign and Russian government operatives which have plagued the now President Trump every since his election.
Remember when James Comey testified in front of a special Senate committee? That was in part caused by the struggle for President Trump's opponents to expose some ties to Russia by having the FBI investigate their very own President. The hatred for Donald Trump runs deep, especially among supporters of his Democratic opponent, Hillary Clinton. Now it seems, even the shamed loser of the last Presidential election, Hillary Clinton, has gone to extreme lengths to take him down and besmirch his name through a proxy attorney of hers.
Marc Elias is the lawyer who represented the DNC and the Clinton campaign, he was used to hiring the Washington firm, Fusion GPS, in order to seek out ties between Russia and the then Presidential candidate Donald Trump. The involvement of the Clinton campaign in the Russian-Trump investigation may be the first legal test for the investigators of Capitol Hill. Fusion GPS sought for a federal judge to block a request form the House Intelligence Committee that would give them direct access to bank records and argued that being forced to turn them over is a violation of constitutional rights.
Even the President weighed in on the discovery and potential legal battle that will ensue.
