Three inmates escaped Marshall County Prison over the weekend. Whilst making Sunday’s night’s roll call check, the prison staff discovered their escape
The Marshall County sheriff’s office identified the men as Mr. Jose Gilberton Rodiguez, Mr. Abraham Lopez and Mr Jose G. Martinez. Though investigators still don’t know exactly how the trio escaped, two other people have been in the meantime charged with helping at least one of the escapees
The two people arrested are Ms. Belinda May Houk, 36 years old, and Mr. Hilario Carmona, 50 years old. Police officers explained that the duo went to Guntersville to pick up Mr. Jose Martinez and then drove him to their home in the Swearengin area. Investigators assume that Mr. Martinez left the home once they arrived there. Ms. Houk and Mr. Carmona are both charged with facilitating an escape.
The three men were being held for drug-related felonies.
Mr. Jose Gilberton Rodiguez, 32 years old, of Boaz was imprisoned for the unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of the drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Abraham Lopez, 29 years old, of Tennessee, was being locked up for trafficking meth as well as possession of the drug paraphernalia.
Lastly, Mr. Jose G. Martinez, 36 years old, of Owens Crossroads was locked up for both third-degree domestic violence, possession of the drug paraphernalia, FTA reckless endangerment, FTA criminal mischief and using a false identity.
Sheriff of Marshall County, Mr Scot Walls said: "The investigation is continuing as deputies and surrounding law enforcement agencies search for the fugitives. We will release details as they become available."
