His critics and haters don’t know any better, because as far as President Donald Trump is concerned, he is great with tweeting, owing to his being intelligent, and that the popular social media site is a good platform for him to reach his millions of supporters.
Trump described his tweets as “well-crafted”, despite all the negative coverage given to his Twitter activities by the mainstream media who hit him for some spelling errors, deleted tweets and at times, controversial messages.
In an interview with Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo that will air later today, Trump admitted that even some of his friends were advising him not to engage in social media anymore. But the President recognizes the social media’s ability to get the message out there almost instantaneously.
Trump told Bartiromo: “See, I don’t call it tweets, tweeting is like a typewriter- when I put it out, you put it immediately on your show. I mean the other day, I put something out, two seconds later I am watching your show, it’s up.”
The President also attributes what he feels is his competence in sending messages through tweeting to his being a “good student.” Trump shared: “Ok, and then, you know they are well-crafted. I was always a good student, I am like a person that does well with that kind of thing.”
Trump, a good public speaker and story-teller, also continues to recognize how social media contributed to his campaign, and amazing presidential victory. He said: “And I doubt I would be here if weren’t for social media to be honest with you. Because there is a fake media out there, I get treated very unfairly by the media.”
The President who counts more than 40 million followers also believes that he has a “tremendous platform” and finds it impressive that he can reach his millions of supporters directly and unfiltered. Trump explained: “So when somebody says something about me, I am able to go bing, bing, bing and I take care of it. The other way, I would never be able to get the word out.”
Trump reiterated what social media gifted him with. He said: “Without social media, I am not sure that we would be here talking. I would probably not be here talking.”
