Despite radio silence from any of the major news outlets, including tech news venues, it seems that Robert Scoble's alleged abuses were somewhat known in the tech community. Tim O'Reilly says, "Yes. We banned Scobie from future events, and added a code of conduct but we should have done more."

Sarah Winge also writes from Medium, "I remember that night." When approached for comment Scobie told me in Twitter DM he would be on Facebook live tonight at Midnight (Pacific Time, I assume, he didn't respond when I asked). When I mentioned this via Twitter
Meanwhile, no news is bad news in a case like this. At the moment, Scobie is in San Francisco being featured at What's Now SF.

The most disturbing bit of all about this and the cases in Hollywood are how obviously endemic and systemic the problem seems to be.
